## How to obtain API Credentials

1.  Click the main menu icon and navigate to **Preferences** > **Authentication** > **API keys**.
2.  Click **Create API key** to open the creation dialog.
3.  Enter a descriptive name for the API key to distinguish it from others.
4.  Click **Create API key** to generate the credentials. The dialog will display the necessary API information.

    **Important:** 
    After you close the **Create API key** page, you cannot access the information on the page.

5.  Use the copy icon to copy the API key and the Secret API key. Store these credentials securely, as they will not be accessible after closing the page.
6.  Click **Done** to close the dialog and return to the settings page.

## How to get a Report ID

1.  Navigate to the **Reports** section in IBM Guardium Data Security Center.
2.  Open the desired report.
3.  The Report ID can be found in the URL or report details.
