# Configure API Key (optional)

In order to generate an API key, you must have a Maltiverse Account.
Then, follow the steps below:

1. Log in to the Maltiverse website.
2. Click on your username at the top corner.
3. Press the Generate API Key button.
4. Copy your API key and enter it inside the API key field.
